How do I wash and care for my Sisters Republic absorbent underwear?
Sisters Republic period underwear can be washed and reused for years and years. When you do finally need to replace them, it's not because the absorbency of your underwear has been compromised. As with all underwear, continued use and washing can lead to the lace and stitching becoming damaged over time.
Here is our advice on how to best care for your underwear and get the most use out of them:
Rinse your underwear in cold water as soon as you take them off (blood coagulates in hot water, so this is why we don't recommend you putting them in the washing machine before rinsing).
You can put it in the wash right after or wait until you do your next load. Opt for a delicate cycle at 30 °C or wash by hand in lukewarm water.
Don't use fabric softener and, if you have one, place your underwear in a small laundry net to protect them (as with all delicate underwear).
Do not use a tumble dryer, let your underwear simply air dry.
